Glennallen Vacations, Tourism & Travel Information

Our Take on Glennallen, Alaska

With a population roughly over 500 strong, Glennallen offers you the experience of vacationing in rural Alaska with comfortable lodging and attractions made from nature.  Located in southeastern Alaska on the Glennallen highway, it is a considerable drive from any big Alaskian center, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

What Glennallen lacks in popularity is found in its rich culture, friendly people, year-round sport and game, and local food that always tastes fresh.  Glennallen has few lodging accommodations, but these few accommodations do not lack in quality.  You can only get the true Glennallen experience by lodging here, so do make sure to stay.  Besides this, the best part of Glennallen is the scenery.  Many mountains meet here, including a national mountain range.  Begin your day by exploring Glennallen's scenic mountains, followed up by a rousing day of fishing.  The salmon always jump here!  Afterward, head to a local restaurant for delicious, local cuisine.  Please note that this is not a kid friendly area -- it will bore them.  It is a nice romantic spot for just spending quality time with your loved one, however.  There is nothing particularly exciting about Glennallen, but it is almost a romantic, somewhat spiritual experience to stay here.  The scenery will relax all of your worries away -- if the people don't, that is.  For more information about lodging, accommodations, romantic attractions, and romantic getaways, visit Bell's Travel Guide's article on Glennallen.
