OUR TAKE ON TUSCALOOSA
Nestled along
the Black Warrior River, Tuscaloosa is home to the University of Alabama, the
center of Tuscaloosa's longevity.
Nevertheless, Tuscaloosa still retains its southern touch, with
southern-inspired housing and accommodations peppering the streets of downtown
Tuscaloosa. Although students flock here
on occasion, thousands of tourists flock here to vacation -- it's easy to see
why. This small-feel town was in Money
Magazine's annual list of the country's best cities.
With a population over 90,000, Tuscaloosa also offers a big city feel for meandering vacationers, giving you many vacationing choices. Tuscaloosa also boasts many kid friendly and romantic friendly options, including the Children's Hands On Museum. Kids can play and explore interactive galleries such as a farmer's market and a Japanese house. Take them to the interactive art studio afterwards to create their own works of art. Looking for a more intimate, romantic getaway? Visit Tuscaloosa's Bama Belle, a romantic river cruise that offers romantic dining and sightseeing in the comfort of an authentic 1900s replica of a southern riverboat. End your day with a stay in historic lodging accommodations, located in the heart of downtown Tuscaloosa. Beware of any ghosts lurking in these accommodations.
