OUR TAKE ON LEEDS
Like many cities in Alabama, Leeds has many outdoor attractions for the physically active. The Leeds family vacations will involve visits to the city parks, such as the Civic Center Complex, the Memorial Park, the Historical Park, the Moton Park, and the Old City Park. If the family wanted to visit two parks within a short period of time, the ideal choices are the Memorial Park and the Historical Park. Both are located on Highway 119.
But Leeds also offers other things to do for the family. The family can marvel at the architecture of the Downtown Historic District and the ambiance of the Historic Depot. If the walking tires the kids, there are numerous Leeds restaurants to head into. The family can also visit the Little Cahaba River, a river that can’t be missed if the family has visited the parks. But the most unique thing of Leeds vacations is the visit to a haunted house. It is called the Atrox Haunted House for Charity. With more than 40,000 square feet that are dedicated to make the heart pounding with suspense and fear, it is considered as the Largest Indoor Haunted Attraction in the Southeast. And when the family discovers the convoluted scary mind of Dr. Slain, the Leeds vacation will be forever etched in memory.
