Our Take on Jasper, Alabama
The favorite sport of the folks in Jasper, Alabama is baseball. This is why there are many parks that have fields dedicated to baseball. However, this does not mean that other sports and recreational activities are left out.
In fact, when people go on Jasper vacations, they will find themselves on having fun with the so many things to do in Jasper City. Obviously, one of the most important things to do in Jasper is to visit the parks. If the members of the family are baseball fans, the parks to visit are the Coke Oven Field, the Fowler Park, Valley Park, and Trotter Field. Some of these parks also have fields and courts for other sports. For example, the Fowler Park has a basketball court and the Valley Park has lighted tennis courts. If the family vacations in Jasper, they can also spend many leisurely hours outdoors, having a picnic. There is the Gamble Park that has a walking track, a playground, and a creek. There are also cleverly decorated birdhouses. And there is the Town Creek Park that features a rock walking bridge as well as a flower garden and a small golf course. The walking bridge was built in the 1930s. And finally, there is the Memorial Park, the largest and the oldest in the city. There are pavilions, playgrounds, softball and T-ball fields, a pond, outdoor swimming pools, and a natatorium.
