Birmingham Vacations, Tourism & Travel Information

OUR TAKE ON BIRMINGHAM

If ever there was a city that underwent a significant evolution, then it is Birmingham. It began as a manufacturing center of the southern part of the United States and within a few years, its population boomed to the point that it earned the nickname of “Magic City.” Then, in a few decades, the industry evolved to focus on banking, medical research, and other service-oriented economies. This gave rise a boost in the tourism industry.
From one perspective, Birmingham vacations are all about memorable culinary experiences. But on a more down-to-earth and casual perspective, Birmingham is a destination for family vacations. This is why Birmingham hotels, which costs range from $30 to $200+, offer various family packages. The family can find something magical in the Birmingham vacations by visiting the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and the Birmingham Zoo. This sounds a bit tame and conventional, but the gardens and the zoo offer something different. The zoo offers a unique cultural experience because, in cooperation with the Japan-America Society of Alabama, there will be a free Cherry Blossom Viewing. This is on top of the Japanese rose garden, the waterfalls, the bonsai exhibit, and the various rose and fern collections. In the meantime, the zoo has acquired new animals from Australia, and the family vacation can turn out more exciting than planned when the kids can walk among the kangaroos.
