OUR TAKE ON AUBURN

For people who are thinking of enjoying an Auburn vacation, the first thing to know is that Auburn is not for the faint of heart. Auburn does not offer travelers a relaxing family vacation. Auburn is for the physically active because this community is dotted with parks and walking trails. If you are looking for an Alabama hiking vacation then you are in the right place!

The most popular parks to visit are the following: Bowden Park, Charlotte and Curtis Ward Bike Path, Fenton Little Park, Graham McTeer Park, Hickory Dickory Park, Kiesel Park, MLK Park, Moores Mill Park, Salmon Park, Sam Harris Park, Town Creek Park, and the Westview Park. There are also walking trails, in which the shortest is the ¼-mile Duck Samford Baseball Walking Trail and the longest is the 2¼-mile Kiesel Park Walking Trail.

For the sports enthusiast, the place to go is the Tiger Trail because it exhibits granite plaques that bear the names of athletes and coaches of the Auburn University. Obviously, the family must bring energy drinks, as well as wear comfortable clothes and hiking shoes. Auburn vacations can have a “save the environment” theme when the travelers visit the Donald E. Davis Arboretum. It showcases the plants that are endemic only to Southeastern United States. Travelers can also see the unique habitat that these plants needed to survive and If you are staying in Auburn for a while, consider these Alabama vacation rentals that are in the area.
