For those who are fascinated with history, then Alexander City is a great vacation destination to check out antique fire trucks, the Big Kowaliga Basin, the Martin Dam built in 1923, and the Horseshoe Bend Military Park. For adventurers who like rock climbing, there is the Chimney Rock, waiting to be conquered. But if visiting the Alexander City vacation is a family affair, then the family should not miss the Children’s Harbor. It is on Kowaliga Bridge, just off Highway 63.
